Christine Seput, LPC, LCWS

Christine Seput is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a DCFS Licensed Child Welfare Specialist (LCWS). She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Governor State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Christine has spent more than 24 years serving in the fields of Child Welfare and Community Based Mental Health Services throughout the Chicagoland area. During this time, she has worked with adults and youth who were experiencing a mental health crisis, foster care adjustment, homelessness, addiction, developmental disorders, trauma, abuse, neglect, grief, family conflict, criminal justice, and re-entry issues as well as providing services to both the survivor of and the perpetrator of domestic violence. Christine’s vast training includes but is not limited to Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-informed Strength-based Practices, Person-Centered approaches, Parenting Instruction, Anger Management, Cognitive Behavioral and Existential Therapy, and Life Coaching.
The 20+ years of experience Christine brings to the table encourages a straight-forward, realistic and fresh perspective to address client’s goals as she employs creative strategies to motivate clients to do something different and achieve more optimal well-being. Clients find her to be competent, compassionate and approachable.

Christine is not new to the mental health or group practice world, however, is a new addition to the team at NMK, LCPC & Associates. She is available for telehealth exclusively via video or telephone sessions and is excited to work with you to help you realize your goals.
