Stephanie Harris is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LCPC). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She has been specially trained in Person-Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
Stephanie is very client-focused and aims to help people discover and design a life that works best for them. She supports individuals in identifying how their past has contributed to who they are today so that they have greater awareness and freedom to redirect themselves towards the life that they want.
She takes a strength-based approach to help people recognize the talent and skills that they already have while giving them the confidence to change habits that are no longer serving them. She is a strong advocate for her clients and helps them to develop their own comfort in sticking up for themselves.
Stephanie has experience working with adults and couples with anxiety and depression, survivors of trauma, individuals suffering from both drug and gambling addictions, women going through divorce, adults and children with developmental disabilities, and people in emergencies through crisis counseling. She speaks Spanish and has years of experience working with Latino communities. Stephanie is from Vermont and enjoys bringing the down-to-earth yet impassioned nature of Vermont culture to the city life of Chicago.
